The Position  
In this dynamic position the Executive Assistant provides general administrative support to (some members of) the Executive Committee.
As an EA you have a strong background in a high-level support role and possess relevant secretarial qualifications in an international environment. We are specifically seeking for someone with exceptionally high standards in all that they do, with an excellent command of the English language (spoken, written and grammar). The role would suit a professional EA, which is used to upholding the utmost confidentiality at all times, along with the ability to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines.
Flexibility is one of your key words. Energetic, hardworking, and proven ability to deal positively when working within tight time pressure & demanding stakeholders.
You will be a motivated self-starter, with a warm and friendly approach when liaising with internal and external stakeholders.  
Key activities

  • Calendar management
  • Travel arrangements, restaurants, hotels etc.
  • Organizing meetings
  • Making notes
  • Organizing events; global trade meeting, exco meetings
  • Expense claims
  • Preparing presentations in PowerPoint
  • Receiving guests
 The organisation
An Agricultural Commodity Specialist. Core to their business is Africa, with international specialist operations in Central Asia, India, Asia Pacific and Europe. The European HQ are based in Amstelveen, employing approx. 50 people. 

You have: 

  • Bachelor degree / Additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Dutch would be an advantage
  • 5 years of relevant working experience within an international, commercial organization
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An EU working permit
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
